The Erin's Precious Pigs' Texel Himalayans line is the most challenging line within my caviary. It began in 2002 with Andie's Arianna and Pretty Snowstar who I purchased from Heather Bondra of Andie's Americans.  The line has been extremely successful finishing First Place in the 2002-2003 ACBA Youth Cavy Sweepstakes as well as having multiple Best in Show and Best of Breed Wins.
Even with such success of the line, I am currently crossing my animals with Texel Blacks as well as Silkies in Black and Himalayan.  I hope to eliminate the white spotting gene from the line, the satin gene, as well as to increase size and vigor of my animals.
This line is the smallest of the caviary.  I average about ten animals at a time with one or two in show coat. I find their beauty and coat more of a challenge in contrast to my Americans and American Satins.
